They vary in size and can form large masses extending into the vagina, urethra, cervix, perirectal epithelium, anus, and rectum. The growth is pink-to brown papillomatous papules or nodules on the genitalia, perineum, crural folds, and anus.

The other name is condyloma acuminatum. This disease affects females more frequently than males. The female-to male ratio has been reported to be 1.4:1. The highest incidence of GW is found in young adults 15-25 years. Condyloma acuminatum doesn’t become clinically apparent until several months after HPV exposure. Genital warts picture is more easily identifiable than cervical dysplasia or ASCUS.
