Perianal Warts

The symptom of the disease is pink-to brown papules or nodules on the genitalia, perineum, crural folds, and anus. They vary in size and can form large masses. The other name is of this condition is condiloma acuminatum. This disease affects females more frequently than males with the female-to male ratio being 1.4:1. The highest incidence of GW is found in young adults 15-25 years. Condiloma acuminatum doesn’t become clinically apparent until several months after inoculation with HPV. So, infected person can transmit it to his/her partners. If an partner has perianal warts, they should also be checked for a vaginal wart or a penile wart.
