Planters Wart
Planters wart (plantars) is less serious than the genital type that causes an ASCUS tissue or cervical cancer in women.
When these lesions occur on the hand, they tends to be subungual or periungual. They begin as small shiny papules and progress to deep round lesions, surrounded by a smooth collar of thickened horn.

These lesions cause much pain, because they grow deep into the plantar surfaceon weight-bearing areas, such as the metatarsal head and heel. Extensive involvement on the sole of the foot may impair ambulation. Malignant change is rare but has been reported and is termed verrucous carcinoma.
